About The Diplomat Series
The Diplomat Series is a flagship platform powered by The Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD),a global civil society initiative in support of the United Nations' 1st & 2nd International Decade for People of African Descent (2015 - 2024 and 2025 - 2034).
Rooted in the UN Decade's enduring theme, "People of African Descent: Recognition, Justice and Development," The Diplomat Series brings global visibility to the human stories behind diplomacy. Through conversations, storytelling, cultural immersion, and curated recognitions, the series highlights the soft power, personal impact, and cross cultural bridges being built by people of African descent around the world.
MIPAD's mission is to identify and honour high achievers of African descent across sectors and continents, from government and international organisations to business, technology, creative industries and beyond. The Diplomat Series extends this mission by spotlighting those shaping foreign policy, international cooperation, and global influence with empathy, excellence, and heritage.
Where diplomacy meets culture
And where the African diaspora's voice is not just heard, it is celebrated, documented and amplified.
